New Delhi: Education has become a big industry in the country. Due to this, students who cannot afford medical education in the country have to go to study in countries like Ukraine. The Supreme Court made this observation while hearing a case on Tuesday. The Supreme Court said this while hearing several petitions, in which there was a demand to order the central government to allow them to open pharmacy colleges.

Actually, the Pharmacy Council of India had banned the creation of new pharmacy colleges in 2019. The organization said that pharmacy colleges in the country are taking the form of an industry and should be banned. Hearing the matter, Justices BR Gavai and Hima Kohli said, 'Everyone knows that education has become an industry in the country today. There are large business groups operating them. They should think in this regard.

The Supreme Court further said that due to the high cost of medical education, people should move to countries like Ukraine. On this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said in the court that, 'the kind of situation in the country, attention should be paid to it. The colleges themselves have told the court that they have lost two years due to government ban. We understand the requests of the students, but these colleges have become an industry.
