After AAP Victory, CM Amarinder started raising money to complete the pending schemes

AAP party has won a bumper victory on its own strength in the Delhi Assembly elections, the effect of this bumper victory has started to appear in Punjab as well. Captain Amarinder Singh Government of Punjab has now turned to the public in a new way. As a new phase of debt waiver is starting in the state, the government has taken new steps on electricity, water and health. Captain Sarkar has resumed the stalled debt waiver scheme for the last one year. The Captain has demanded Rs 721 crore from the mandi board to settle the pending cases of agricultural laborers and farmers with five acres of land. Apart from this, the department needs another Rs 900 crore, so that the next phase of debt waiver scheme can be started.

Regarding the matter, a senior official of the Agriculture Department has said that Rs 721 crore has been written to the mandi board. The Mandi Board itself has arranged the money to provide relief to the farmers and agricultural laborers under debt waiver scheme. In the past, farmers who have received loan waiver of more than 4800 crores, have been given money from this fund. The department expects that this amount will be paid before 31 March.

Of the Rs 721 crore demanded from the Mandi Board for timely completion of the debt waiver scheme, out of this, 520 crore rupees will be spent to forgive the debt of agricultural laborers. The debt of 2.85 lakh agricultural laborers who had taken up to 25 thousand people from cooperative societies, while 201 crores will be spent on waiving loans of small and marginal farmers. These are the thirty thousand cases which were missed during the loan waiver last year. After a fresh investigation, the government has now decided to forgive the debt of these farmers.
