New Delhi: The year 2023 is going to be historic from the perspective of India-Egypt relations. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will attend India's Republic Day (January 26) celebrations as the chief guest in 2023. At the same time, it is expected that PM Narendra Modi can also go to Egypt this year. Let us inform you that, in 2022 itself, 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Egypt were completed. For this reason, the visit of the President of Egypt to India is going to be very important. Let us tell you that on August 15, 1947, only 3 days after India got independence, both countries established formal relations.

India-Egypt has completed 75 years of diplomatic relations, and even after this, no Egyptian President has been able to become the chief guest at India's Republic Day celebrations. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will be the first President of Egypt to attend India's Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. It is said that there was a very good relationship between the country's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru and the second President of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser. Even after this, no Egyptian President could ever get this opportunity. In this context, the visit of Egyptian President Al-Sisi to India is historic.

The visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to India is a golden opportunity for both countries to forge a new partnership. Egyptian Ambassador in India Wael Mohamed Awad Hamed has also said that this visit will create a new partnership between the two countries at the economic, political, bilateral, and global levels. Egyptian Ambassador Awad Hameed has even said that the friendship between Modi and Sisi will surpass Nehru-Nasser's friendship.
