On this special day of Eid-ul-Zuha, we celebrate the sacred spirit of sacrifice. Let us resolve to work together for unity and fraternity in our shared society.”

On the other hand PM Modi expressed his best wishes on Id-ul-Zuha.

“May this day deepen the spirit of compassion and brotherhood in our society”, He tweeted.

On this occasion, a holiday has been declared in many schools and government offices of Delhi NCR and many states of India. Bakra Eid holiday  is being observed in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, etc.

Eid-al-adha or the ‘Feast of Sacrifice’ is observed by the Muslims to honor the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of compliance towards God.  Worth mention here It is the second of the two most auspicious Islamic holidays, the other being Eid-al-Fitr.
