Bhubaneswar: A case of gang rape has been reported in the school premises from a student of class VIII in Soro area under Balasore district of Odisha. The incident occurred in a private residential school. The student has been sent to the SCB Medical College Hospital for treatment. Her condition is said to be critical.

The victim's family has filed a complaint about the incident. It is being told that the students of the school are involved in this. The family members have stated in their complaint that Rajendra Das, a teacher of the same school, threatened the victim after the rape that she did not tell anyone. Additional Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police have also been handed over a copy of the complaint. Investigation of the incident is being done in charge of Soro police station. The girl is a resident of the adjoining district.

It is being told that after questioning the accused, they have been left with the advice not to go anywhere till the investigation. The accused teacher has denied involvement in the incident. The victim's house has filed a complaint against the four accused. The victim's family accused the police of trying to hush the entire case. Justice is not available on this incident. The police could not be reached on the matter.
