Elon Musk agrees to buy Twitter on the old deal, sent proposal

New Delhi: Tesla Company CEO Elon Musk has once again become active about the Twitter deal. Media reports reported on Tuesday (September 4) that Musk has proposed to buy Twitter at the original price of $54.20 per share. Twitter's Investor Relations Department has confirmed this.  

Alan Musk signed a deal with Twitter in April 2022 for about $44 billion at $54.20 a share. After this deal, there was a dispute between Elon Musk and Twitter, after which Musk cancelled the deal. Elon Musk and Twitter's dispute is scheduled to be heard in court this month. Twitter has asked the court to direct Musk to complete the deal at $54.20 per share. At the same time, Elon Musk made this proposal while writing a letter to Twitter. Twitter confirmed on Tuesday that Elon Musk has sent a letter saying he wants to work on advancing the agreement to buy the platform for $44 billion.

After signing a deal with Twitter in April, the Tesla CEO accused Twitter of fraud, saying that Twitter did not give him the right information regarding the business while making the deal. Musk had accused Twitter of hiding information. Elon Musk had said that he asked Twitter for information about bot accounts (fake accounts), which Twitter flatly refused to give. Musk then cancelled the deal in July. Tesla's CEO also filed an application in court regarding this matter.
