New Delhi: Neurology startup Neurolink, owned by well-known billionaire Elon Musk, on Friday introduced a pig who had a computer chip equivalent to a coin in his brain. This is an initial step towards improving the treatment of disease occurring in humans. Through this, they are conducting a kind of trial for the treatment of some brain diseases that occur in humans.
In 2016 Elon Musk founded Neurolink in San Francisco. The goal of Neurolink is to install a wireless computer in the brain of humans, which will help humans fight and cure diseases like Alzheimer's, Dementia and spinal cord injuries. Elon Musk, in a webcast on Friday, citing illnesses such as depression, memory loss, insomnia, said that "an implantable device can actually solve these problems."
Musk added that "We are not trying to raise money, we are trying to convince intelligent people to work with us." Musk has already been known to bring together different specialists through companies such as Tesla Inc. and SpaceX to speed the development of new ideas limited to educational laboratories with rocket, hyperloop and electrical vehicle technologies.
