USA: Elon Musk on Saturday challenged Twitter Inc CEO Parag Agarwal for a public discussion about the proportion of bots on the social media platform.

"Let him show the public that 5% of daily Twitter users are spam or fake!" Posted in a tweet by Musk. Additionally, they commissioned a survey questioning whether less than 5% of daily Twitter users are bots or spam.

Twitter denied Musk's claim that he was duped into buying the company for US$44 billion on Thursday.

On July 29, Musk filed a countersuit against Twitter, intensifying his legal battle with the company over its request to terminate the purchase agreement.

Earlier on Saturday, Musk insisted that his agreement to buy Twitter should proceed under the terms of the original agreement if Twitter could disclose how it selected 100 accounts to sample and how it verified. Did that the accounts are authentic.

Both sides are preparing for trial in Delaware court in October.
On Saturday, Twitter declined to comment. According to the company's repeated disclosures to the Securities and Exchange Commission, less than 5% of user accounts are considered fake or spam, although there is a caveat that the number could be higher. When Musk agreed to the April merger agreement, he waived his right to take extra precautions.

Both sides are preparing for trial in Delaware court in October.
Because market conditions have worsened and the acquisition no longer serves Musk's interests, Twitter has argued in court that Musk is deliberately attempting to kill the deal. A court document filed on Thursday portrayed their counterclaims as a fictional story "contrary to evidence and common sense".

Lawyers for the company claimed that Musk "invented representations never made by Twitter and then attempted to selectively use the extensive confidential data Twitter provided him to acknowledge the breach of those alleged representations."
