It says, 'Musk historically paid a base salary, which reflects the minimum wage requirements applicable under California law and was subject to income tax on the basis of such base salary. However, he never accepted that salary. At Musk's request, in May 2019, we completely abolished the base salary earnings.' Tesla's CEO and the company's Amazon shareholder also have good options in their pay package in 2018, which has now exceeded billions.
The company's statement also mentions the base salary of other Tesla officials, including Zakari Kirkhornle, Jerome Guillen, and Andrew Baglino.
