US: Elon Musk, the world's richest man, tweeted on Thursday that he is "thinking about" quitting his job and becoming an influencer. "Thinking of quitting my employment & becoming a full-time influencer wdyt," Musk wrote in the tweet, without going into further detail.
It was unclear whether Musk, a frequent user of the social networking platform, was serious about leaving his positions. Musk, who is also the creator and CEO of SpaceX, as well as the CEO of Neuralink, a brain-chip business, and The Boring Company, indicated on a conference call in January that he expects to be the CEO of Tesla for "many years."
"It would be good to have a little more free time on my hands instead of working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from when I wake up to when I go to sleep. It's quite intense." He asked his Twitter followers last month if he should sell 10 percent of his share in the electric car company, and the majority said yes. Since then, he's sold about USD12 billion worth of stock.
