Chandigarh: Punjab Police is having an encounter with sharpshooters Manpreet Mannu Kussa and Jagrup Rupa, the killers of famous Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala. The encounter is taking place in Amritsar. In which there is firing from both sides. Punjab Police personnel have been called from all over the state and the two have been cordoned off. The encounter took place in Hoshiar Nagar near Bhakna village on the road leading to the Attari border. The area is about 10 km from the Indo-Pakistan border. Sharpshooters are hiding in a room and firing at the police.

Apart from the anti-gangster task force AGTF, Special Operation Cell, and Organized Crime Control Unit (OCCU) of Punjab Police, teams of Amritsar police have surrounded them. At first, they were asked to surrender but they started firing. According to police sources, the weapons used in the murder of Moosewala are in possession of both of them. They are shooting at the police. Police have announced from Gurudwara Sahib in the area and instructed people not to leave their homes.

It was revealed in the investigation of the police that sharpshooters Jagrup Rupa and Manpreet Mannu, who killed Moosewala, continued to roam around in Punjab after the murder. According to sources, till the end of June, they remained hiding in a village in Tarn Taran. Roopa is from this area. Here the other gangster Toofaan had kept them hidden in his farmhouse. Gangster Raia was also present with them.
