According to reports received, a policeman was crushed to death by a truck on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday in Anand, Gujarat. On receiving the news, the injured was taken to the hospital, where he died due to treatment. However, was it an accident or was it a deliberate act? It is currently being investigated by the police. Police have recovered the car. At the same time, the criminal driver has also been arrested and interrogation started.

Earlier, at 3 am on Wednesday, a woman police SI Sandhya Topne was killed in Ranchi in Jharkhand after being hit by a pick-up van. Ranchi SSP said that checking of vehicles was started at night on the eve of cattle smuggling, due to which when the police team signalled to stop a pickup van, the driver increased the speed of the vehicle and crushed the woman inspector. In this case, the woman police officer died on the spot. Police have arrested one of the criminals along with the car.
