Jammu: Encounter between soldiers and militants is still going on in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. In the encounter, a terrorist has been killed by security forces. While a young man has also been martyred. At present, a search operation has been done in the area. Intelligence agencies have received information that terrorists are hiding in a garden in Karamzipora in Pulwama district, as soon as information was released, troops surrounded the areas and a search operation has been carried out in the area. Seeing themselves surrounded, the terrorists started attacking the security forces with bullets.

The soldiers also retaliated. Although a soldier has been martyred in the midst of action, but a terrorist was also shot down. The security forces have currently issued a search operation in the areas. An-47, grenade as well as other objectionable items have also been found from the scene. Those who have been captured by the police.

Earlier on Tuesday, Hizbul Mujahideen's module of cross-border arms smuggling was busted by security forces in North Kashmir's frontier district Kupwara. One terrorist and four OGWs have been detained. One AK 47 rifle, two 9 mm Chinese pistol and magazine have been seized from possession. It was necessary to bring these weapons to the active terrorists in the valley. SSP Kupwara AS Dinkar said that he got information about arms smuggling from LOC. On the basis of this information, the share operation was issued late Monday in collaboration with the 28 National Rifles (RR) and 162 Battalion CRPF of the Army.

Meanwhile, the team succeeded in capturing a local terrorist of Lalpora, Parvez Ahmed Bhat. An AK 47 rifle, two 9MM Chinese pistols and a magazine have been seized from him. Following this, four OGWs involved in smuggling operations were also arrested. The SSP said that the detained OGW identified Altaf Ahmed Mir (35) of Hajibal, Ghulam Mohammad Kohli (35) of Verno Lolab, Nizamdin Gujjar (44) of Gujjarpati Bandipora and Abdul Qayum Gujjar (29) of Khenura Bandipora, all these used to work for Hizbul.
