Srinagar: On the outskirts of Srinagar, the capital of Jammu Kashmir, the army has launched a major operation against a group of terrorists. In Ranbirgarh, on the outskirts of Srinagar, the army has been reported to have hidden 2-3 terrorists at a hideout. The militants opened fire on the soldiers here during a search operation which started after intelligence inputs were reported, after which the army started a counter operation against them.
It is being told that the army received intelligence inputs on Saturday morning that a group of terrorists were hiding in this area. Based on this input, 29 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army, along with SOG and CRPF personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police, started a search operation in this area. Internet services have been closed in the area to prevent violent protests and rumors by army personnel during the search operation itself.
It is being told that the terrorists hiding in this area tried to escape by firing heavily on the soldiers here. After this, the army personnel also retaliated and opened fire. However, till now no information has been reported about the death of any terrorist in the area.
