IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has told that the hideout of terrorists was reported in Goripora, Avantipora, after which the area was surrounded by security forces. Seeing the terrorists surrounded themselves, they opened fire on the security forces. Security forces also retaliated. In which till now, two terrorists have been killed.

Security forces were informed that terrorists are present in Melhura village of the area.
