Amritsar: Before the assembly elections in Punjab, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi's nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Actually, Bhupinder Singh Honey has been arrested in a money laundering case related to an illegal sand mining case. This arrest has come from Jalandhar after interrogation of him for about 8 hours late at night.

The ED had also raided the house of Channi's nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey about two weeks ago. There were raids on the hideouts of two of Honey's associates. ED wants to inquire about the cash recovered from the house of the three. Let us tell you that in the raid, about Rs 7.9 crore cash was found from Honey's house. At the same time, Rs 2 crore was received from the whereabouts of Honey's associate Sandeep Kumar. Bhupinder Singh Honey and his associates are accused of money laundering by forming fake companies and are also accused of being involved in illegal sand mining.

The ED had revealed that Bhupinder Singh Honey, Kudratdeep Singh and Sandeep Kumar were directors of Providers Overseas Services Pvt Ltd. This company was started in the year 2018. This work was done six months after the FIR was registered against Kudratdeep Singh in the illegal mining case.
