New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi will be questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today i.e. on Wednesday in connection with the money laundering case related to the National Herald case. Earlier on Tuesday, the investigating agency had questioned Sonia Gandhi for about six hours. At the same time, the Congress also held fierce protests in several cities, including Delhi, on Tuesday. During the interrogation, Sonia Gandhi told the investigating agency that only Motilal Vora was aware of all the transactions between the National Herald, Associated Journals Limited, Young Indian and the Congress. He saw all this work.

Let us inform you that the ED team has summoned Sonia Gandhi for questioning again today. Actually, the investigating agency is trying to know how Young Indian took AJL and his properties in their possession. These also include many properties in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bhopal and Chandigarh, which are alleged to have been given at low rates during the Congress government. ED says that Congress got Rs 50 lakh out of Rs 1 crore received by Young Indian from Dotex Merchandise Pvt Ltd of a suspected shell company in Kolkata.

At the same time, Congress says that it had paid Rs 90.2 crore to AJL to help its employees pay for PF and VRS-related matters. But, the ED says that no evidence has been presented by the Congress of who this payment was made, cash or cheque.
