KIEV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a virtual address to thousands of protesters in major European cities that if his country fell to Russia in the ongoing war, the entire continent of Europe would fall.

Protests against Russia's ongoing military assault on Ukraine took place in Vienna, Tbilisi, Prague, Frankfurt, Vilnius, Lyon, and Bratislava on Friday night.

"Don't be silent," Zelensky said in his video address. Take to the streets. Help Ukraine. Help us maintain our liberty. This would not only be a victory over Russian troops, but also a victory of light over darkness. A triumph of good over evil. "A victory for liberty over what is currently taking place on Ukrainian soil." Don't remain silent; instead, lend your support to Ukraine. Because if Ukraine falters, so will Europe. "Europe will fall if Ukraine falls." And if we win - and I believe in our people and in you - it will be a significant victory for democracy, our values, and freedom." Earlier on Friday, in another video message reportedly from his Kiev office, the President chastised NATO leaders for failing to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine, according to the BBC.

"Everyone who dies beginning today will die as a result of you." Because of your inadequacy, because of your disconnect.
