The Department of Electronics and Information Technology has recently completely banned 54 Chinese apps. The list of these app apps banned for security reasons also contains the names of popular apps like Garena Free Fire, AppLock. After the ban, these apps have also been deleted from Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store, but these apps are still available on the Samsung Store.

The report also informs that many of the 54 apps banned on the Galaxy Store that are pre-installed in Samsung's phone are present, although Samsung has not yet made any official statement on this report. Users who already have these apps in their phones can still use the apps. After the app was banned in 2020, the internet service provider along with the developers and telecom operators were also ordered to block the app to remove the app from the store, but this time it has not happened.

According to the Ministry of Electronics and IT, all these apps were sending data of Indian users to China and other countries. Where it has been revealed that these apps were also working to transfer data of Indian users to servers abroad. The list of 54 banned apps also includes the names of apps of big Chinese companies like Tencent, Alibaba and gaming firm NetEase. Not only this, these 54 apps were banned, the new avatars of the apps banned in 2020.
