Actually, Danny was a skilled and excellent character actor. Born on February 25, 1948, in Bhutia, Sikkim, Danny contributed with his performances in Nepali, Telugu, Tamil films. At the same time, his performance in Hindi cinema was always appreciated. The 2003 film Seven Years in Tibet, starring him with Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, was highly appreciated. Danny was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to acting. Danny was born into a Buddhist family.
 
He completed his education at Birla Vidya Mandir and St. Joseph's College, Darjeeling. Danny was also known for his family's love for horses. Danny joined the Indian Army during which he also received the Best Cadet Award. He also participated in the Republic Day parade, but something else was written about Danny's fate, he left the army and received training from the Film and Television Institute, FTII, Pune and changed his name to Danny. After this, he learned Hindi and turned to films. Danny has so far acted in several hit films, including The Burning Train, Ghatak, Luck, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo, and Bang Bang.
