Raipur: The General Administration Department of the State Government of Chhattisgarh has issued a notification for the policy of appointing excellent sportspersons in the government service, under the process mentioned in the notification by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Chhattisgarh, for the year 2019-20. To declare outstanding players, applications are invited in the prescribed format from outstanding players of Chhattisgarh. The last date for submission of this application has been set as 27 March 2020.

Applicant Outstanding player with all self-signed documents can submit to Directorate Sports and Youth Welfare Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium G.E. in Raipur Road till 27 March 2020. Players who have applied for the year 2018-19 do not have to apply again. The Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Shweta Srivastava Sinha, has issued a letter informing all the District Sports Officers of the state, General Secretary Chhattisgarh Olympic Federation, Raipur and State Sports Associations to call for applications from outstanding sportspersons. According to the release letter, the applications of players related to Olympic Asiad, Commonwealth National Sports and University Games will be considered for appointment in government service.

In order of eligibility for the declaration of outstanding sportspersons, the players who are playing senior level games by the Government of India Youth Program, Sports Department or the erstwhile Madhya Pradesh Government Sports and Youth Welfare Department, playing on behalf of a recognized sports unit within the boundary of the state of Chhattisgarh. Award and Rajiv Khel Ratna Award or Arjuna Award or Vikram Award. Those who have been awarded by the Chhattisgarh Government with the sports award of the senior class such as the Gundadhur Award or Maharaja Praveerchandra Bhanjdev Award or the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award. Those who have won medals in the Senior category Olympic, International level, Commonwealth Asiad, Asian Championships while playing for the sports unit of Chhattisgarh State.
Playing on behalf of the Sports Unit of Chhattisgarh has received the National Championships in the individual sports of the senior class or gold medal or silver medal or bronze medal in the National Games. The player is a member of the team of doubles games or sports in which there is a team of more than one player, and if the team of such doubles or group games has received a medal, then all the players of such team receiving such medals will be eligible.
