PM Modi Promises Expansion of Vande Bharat Trains and Introduces Plans for 3 New Bullet Trains for National Development

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to extend Vande Bharat trains to all corners of the nation and outlined plans for expanding bullet train services, including the introduction of three new trains in different regions.

Addressing the audience after the release of the manifesto 'Sankalp Patra', PM Modi stated, "BJP will expand Vande Bharat trains to every corner of the country. Three models of Vande Bharat will run in the country – Vande Bharat Sleeper, Vande Bharat Chaircar, and Vande Bharat Metro." He also highlighted the progress of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train project and announced plans for bullet trains in North, South, and East India.

In his address, PM Modi emphasized the government's commitment to combating corruption, stating, "Now the poor are getting their rights and those who looted the poor are going to jail." He assured continued strict action against corrupt individuals, emphasizing that national interest takes precedence over party interests.

PM Modi highlighted legislative achievements such as the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, the abrogation of Article 370, and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He reiterated the BJP's commitment to 'One Nation, One Election' and stressed the importance of implementing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for the country.

The Prime Minister announced that work on the BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' would commence immediately after the Lok Sabha poll results on June 4. He outlined the party's vision for strengthening India's foundation through social, digital, and physical infrastructure.

Under social infrastructure, PM Modi mentioned the establishment of new educational institutions, while under physical infrastructure, he highlighted modernization efforts in highways, railways, airways, and waterways. Regarding digital infrastructure, he mentioned plans for expanding the 5G network and preparing for Industry 4.0.

The BJP's manifesto committee, led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, convened twice to deliberate on the manifesto's contents. The party received over 1.5 million suggestions for its manifesto, including contributions through the NaMo app and videos.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to take place from April 19, 2024, to June 1, 2024, with results expected on June 4.
