Facebook Inc has launched the cloud gaming feature on its Facebook platform, on Monday. No download is needed to play and stream games using this free service application. The AI games includes racing behemoth Asphalt: 9 Legends, and WWE SuperCard. And the cake walk is no download is needed.
The announced on its blog post has said, ''We recently had 200,000 people playing our cloud-streamed games per week in limited regions, so while it’s not exactly a secret, I’m excited to lay out what we’re building''. It further said no separate cloud gaming service to utilize the feature also facebook is not rolling out a separate gaming service. Facebook newsfeed or the gaming tab can be used to play the games.
The feature is an small-scale addition and does not sound great to compete with Google's Stadia, Nvidia's GeForce NOW, or Amazon's Luna, which are aiming the high-end gaming market. The blog says no external device is needed, the users hands are the controllers. Mouse and keyboard are enough to play in Desktop. The feature is now available in Android and web users, soon will be available on iOS as well. The data says more than 380 million people play games each month on Facebook, and people will play cloud-streamed games right alongside those playing instant games in HTML5.
