New Delhi: Facebook and Instagram have deleted posts by former Congress president Rahul Gandhi revealing the identity of the rape victim's family. Earlier, the action was also taken by Twitter on Rahul Gandhi's post and later his account was also blocked. It may be recalled that a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in the national capital Delhi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had then met the girl's family.

Rahul Gandhi had posted pictures of the same meeting on his social media platform. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi's post was acted upon by Twitter. Rahul Gandhi's tweet was first deleted by Twitter, after which Rahul Gandhi's account was blocked. Rahul's account was locked for a long time, not only Rahul but the accounts of many senior Congress leaders were locked.

However, it's not a long period since the account of all leaders was unlocked. But now Rahul Gandhi's post on Facebook and Instagram has also been deleted. Both platforms had asked Rahul Gandhi to delete the post but the Congress leader had not done so. There was also a demonstration outside the Twitter office by the Congress party after Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account was taken into action. Several Congress leaders had accused Twitter of acting under pressure from the government, calling Twitter biased.
