This thing is also mentioned in the Skanda Purana. This is the place where Goddess Parvati used to come for a bath. Once Parvati had made an idol at the time of bath and then put her life in it. This is how Sri Ganesh was born. Today the temple of Goddess Parvati is also built at this place.
