Jammu: Due to Corona, many works in the country have been interrupted. Meanwhile, the exercise of starting the first batch of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jammu has become very fast. The process of appointment to the post of Director of Jammu All India Institute of Medical Sciences has also been almost completed. On Wednesday, discussions were held in a virtual meeting with the officers of Medical College Kathua under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Ravikant, Director of Mentor Institute Rishikesh All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

It was informed in the meeting that the appointment of faculty may be done in the next one month. Necessary arrangements will be made for the first batch of 50 students at the Mahatma Gandhi Jachcha Bachha Hospital in Kathua district. Classes will be held in Kathua till the permanent building of All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Vijaypur Tehsil of Samba.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh Director Professor Dr. Ravikant and his team held a virtual meeting with Anjali Nadir Bhatt, Principal of Government Medical College Kathua and his team. Due to this, the feasibility of starting classes of All India Institute of Medical Sciences was discussed. Just before the lockdown was announced, AIIMS arrived from Rishikesh, a five-member team inspected four institutes to start classes at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jammu. The preparation has now been done for these batches.
