Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opening batsman Faf Du Plessis has said that captain MS Dhoni knows what he is doing on the field. Du Plessis has also said that playing as a former India captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is an absolute honour. CSK had put up a mammoth 220/3 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which included a stellar performance by Chennai's top-order batsmen.

Faf Du Plessis was not out for 95, while Rituraj Gaikwad hit 64 off just 42 balls. Skipper Dhoni also scored 17 off eight balls, while Jadeja hit a six off the first and only ball of the innings. "It was the most fluent, which I have felt so far," said Faf Du Plessis after the match. It seemed that things were getting better than the previous one. Spinners have appeared as the best bowlers in the last few matches here, even Jadeja bowled well for us."

He further said, "Gaikwad is a great young player. The first few balls you can feel as sidelined as a batsman. Beautiful to look at and he is sure of timing and technique. Good for a little boy that he hits the ball. It is great to play under Dhoni for a long time. He knows what he is doing, he is happy to play under his captaincy. "
