The South African T20 team has been announced for the tour of Australia on Monday. On this tour, the Proteas team has to play a three-match T20 series. Former captain Faf Duplessis has been included in this 16-member squad of South Africa. Apart from this, Kagiso Rabada has also returned. The first match of the three-match T20 series between the two teams will be played on 21 February in Johannesburg. The second and third matches will be played on 23 and 26 February respectively.

South African team: Quinton de Kock (captain, wicketkeeper), Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis, Björn Fortuin, Henrik Klassen, David Miller, Lungi Engidi, Enrich Nortje, Andile Fehlukwao, Dwain Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada, Tabrez Shamsi, John-Smuts, Dale Steyn, Pieté van Biljan, Rasi van der Dusan.

According to reports, Faf Duplessis resigned from captaincy of South African Test and T20 team on Monday. The South African Cricket Board had already handed over the command of the one-day team to Quinton Deacock in the one-day series against England which was recently concluded. On this occasion, 35-year-old Faf said that he would play continuously in all the three formats of the game and his support would be given to Quinton Deacock.
