Dhanashree Verma and Priyank Sharma, singer Neha Kakkar recently released O Sajna, a remake of the classic song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai by Falguni Pathak. Netizens, on the other hand, took offence to Neha's rendition and criticised her for tainting their memories of the song as children. Falguni Pathak, the song's original singer, has now subtly poked fun at Neha by sharing a few screenshots of people criticizing the latter for ruining the song.

Another screenshot of a fan criticizing the remake shows the user shouting at Neha Kakkar and accusing her of doing nothing more than making money off of material that is already on the market. The supporter felt bad for Falguni Pathak because O Sajna's "cringe" ruined her song.
Neha Kakkar has faced criticism for altering well-known songs in the past.
