The birthday of the famous South Korean singer, songwriter, actor, and member of the k-pop group SHINee, was celebrated by fans from all over the world on July 18, the singer turned 29. Taemin is widely known for his dance moves and has been labelled as ‘Idol’s Idol’ by various South Korean media outlets.
Shawols (SHINee World, the group’s fandom) celebrated Lee Taemin’s birthday by organising multiple fan projects, donation drives, and listening parties. In order to celebrate ‘The Taemin Day’ fans had been preparing for weeks.
Taemin being the ‘maknae’ (youngest) of the group is cherished by all of his hyungs aka other members of the group. One of the other members’ Key wished him a happy birthday and wondered what to buy as a gift to celebrate his birthday and asked the birthday boy himself. Taemin, in all his honesty and innocence, talked about a treasured item owned by Key on which he had his eyes for a long time. Taemin asked for a Bottega bag to which the ‘quirky’ Key turned the situation around.
On the other hand, Taemin’s agency SM Entertainment prepared a special gift for the fans and shared a never-seen-before performance video of Taemin dancing to his single ‘Advice’. Taemin too gave back to his fans for all the love and adoration received from them by posting a cute picture of his pet cat, Kkong, and also thanked everyone for their wishes. The singer is also expected to return from his mandatory military service in four months.
