It is being claimed from several Twitter accounts created in the name of Farmani that fed up with the threat of clerics, she has renounced Islam and converted to Hinduism. Amidst these claims, Farmani Naaz herself has come out and released the video and told the whole truth.

In a video posted on her Facebook account, Farmani Naz said, "Someone in my name has created a fake ID and wrote that I am converting to Hinduism and I used to worship Hinduism in earlier birth. There is nothing like that, I urge everyone to report against such people and ask them how did you write this?''

Farmani Naaz further says in her video, "Let me not be defamed in this way, there should not be any such things about me, many fake IDs have been created in my name, and no one has threatened me nor any fatwa has been issued, all the people are praising me. Everyone supports me too, stay away from these rumours.''
