Rakesh Tikait's big announcement, says, 'tomorrow there will be no jam in Delhi'

New Delhi: Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKIU), which is spearheading the farmers' agitation against the agricultural laws brought by the central government, has said that the nationwide Chakka Jam scheduled for February 6 will not take place in Delhi. He has urged the supporters that those who could not come here, they will do the Chakka Jam peacefully in their respective places tomorrow.

Demanding withdrawal of new agricultural laws and legislation on minimum support price (MSP), agitating peasant leaders have announced Chakka Jam. Balbir Singh Rajewal, leader of the United Kisan Morcha said that while giving information about this, he said that on February 6, there will be agitation in the entire country. Roads will be jammed from 12 noon to 3 pm. Farmers organizations have announced this blockade jam in the budget to protest against other issues including 'ignoring' farmers, shutting down internet at various places.

Thousands of farmers have been agitating on several frontiers of Delhi including Singhu, Ghazipur since November. In the tractor rally held on 26 January, the number of farmers who were agitating after the violence had come down, but after the sentiment of Rakesh Tikait, spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union, the movement once again got the support of a large number of farmers.
