New Delhi: Farmers have always had to deal with the wrath of nature, as well as the poor market prices of the crops. Since the start of the Kharif season this year, rain has harmed all crops. However, the prices of grown crops are not being regained at the same period. This year, papaya and ginger have been abundantly produced. Farmers, on the other hand, are suffering as a result of low pricing.

The same is the case in Marathwada at the moment that the ginger heaps have become dilapidated due to non-procurement. Farmers are getting ginger seeds for Rs 4,000 per quintal, while ginger has a market price of Rs 700 per quintal. Therefore, even if farmers survive a natural calamity, they face many problems till the sale of agricultural produce. There is a huge demand for ginger in the markets every year. But, this year, due to the decline in demand, prices are showing a sharp fall. New farmers have started cultivation of ginger in Bharadi, Dhanora, Vanjola, Mandgaon, Didgaon areas of the Aurangabad district. But declining rates have also made it difficult to meet the cost of ginger, and farming.

Farmers in these areas have purchased ginger seeds for Rs. 4,000,000 per quintal, as well as different throughout the year. But farmers are getting only Rs.700 per quintal of ginger. So there are heaps of ginger on the outskirts of this village for sale. But the problems of the farmers have increased because the traders are not getting it.
