Hate Story 2 actress Surveen has made a statement about casting couch-body shaming in her recent testimony. She said that in the middle of her first movie meeting, she was told that she could not get a role as she was 56 kg. He has also said that people always made fun of him about his increased weight and asked for his waist and chest size.

In his testimony to RJ Siddharth Kannan, she discussed the whole issue. When RJ questioned her about body shaming, Surveen said, "Yes, it really happened at my first movie meeting in Mumbai. I was working on television and at the same time, I went for this meeting. You know it's their job to get you to the place where you start questioning yourself. And it happens to most women, where their appearance is questioned, their weight is questioned, your waist and the size of your chest are questioned. She has called the casting couch very absurd and said what are these parameters to measure the woman.

While continuing, Surveen further pointed to the South film industry and said that there is a lot of this and at the same time said that in a few years it has all changed to a great extent. The actress has said that the early days were difficult for her but now things like body-shaming are changing.
