Mumbai: Farmers have been hit hard by rains in Maharashtra this year. Crops have been damaged on a large scale. The worst situation has been in Marathwada. Thousands of acres of crops were submerged here due to rain and floods. Now farmers are agitating to demand compensation for these crops. Farmers from Aurangabad were seen protesting by climbing the tank as Jai in 'Sholay' style. The farmers say that after the crop was destroyed, the Government has not helped us so far. The panchnama of the damaged crops has not been done. The government should immediately help us, with this demand farmers started protesting climbing into the water tank.

Farmers say that the Agriculture Minister is from our own district, yet the farmers are upset. So far, no government official has come to take stock of the crops. The farmers have warned that if the government does not listen to them in time, the farmers will be forced to take to the streets to agitate.

Let us know that this time farmers have suffered a lot due to uncertain weather. Apart from Marathwada, farmers' crops have also suffered heavy damage in other areas of Maharashtra. The rain has hit the farmers in Telangana and Odisha. At the same time, floods in Assam have destroyed thousands of acres of crops of farmers.
