New Delhi: The farmers protest released in protest against the three new agricultural laws brought by the central government has reached its 85th day today. Farmers, who are adamant about their demands on the new law issue, will block trains today. Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), has called for a halt to trains across the country today. Tikait said that he wants to stop the rail and send a message to the government that the trains should be run. Rail Roko campaign will continue from 12 noon to 3 pm in the evening.

On one hand, due to farmer agitation, while many trains are already cancelled and some trains are being stopped before their destination stations. Now on Thursday, farmers have started protesting against the new agriculture laws of the Center and announced the Rail Roko campaign from 12:00 to 4:00pm. In view of this campaign, Northern Railway has made the additional deployment of Railway Protection Special Force with special focus on Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

According to officials of the Railway Protection Force, we will maintain contact with the district administration and have built control rooms where vigilance is being done on intelligence. More attention will be given around Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi. An official of the Railway Protection Force said that we will urge the farmers that there is no inconvenience to the passengers and that the operation should end peacefully. United Kisan Morcha has announced that the movement of people will be stopped from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm across the country.
