The new policy will come into effect from July 26: In the message being sent by the company, it has been said that the new privacy policy is going to come into effect from July 26. It has also been clarified that in India, the company is sending this notification to inform the users. They will not have to react to this notification. It is not going to be mandatory for the people of India to accept it. The purpose of sending messages is simply that users should also be aware of the new policy.  

So not mandatory in India: The company's new policy is not going to be binding in India. In fact, the Indian government had given strict guidelines to the META on privacy last year itself and it was said that no policy would be accepted by the government that would infringe on the privacy of the people. In such a situation, this policy will not be binding here.
