Lucknow: Former MLA and mafia Mukhtar Ansari, imprisoned in Banda Jail of Uttar Pradesh, has started to fear his murder. Mafia Mukhtar Ansari's wife Afshan Ansari has filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court. In this petition, wife Afshan has demanded to increase the security of husband Mukhtar Ansari. On this petition, the Allahabad High Court has given strict instructions to the DGP of the state regarding the security of Mukhtar Ansari.
The court has directed to make tight security arrangements by keeping Mukhtar Ansari in the security cordon of the police during his appearance in jail and outside the jail. Along with this, the court has also given guidelines to the media. The court has prohibited the undertrial mafia Mukhtar Ansari from taking any type of byte (interview). During the hearing, the court said that it is not against the media taking bytes (interviews) of the undertrial prisoners, but the way the undertrial prisoners Atiq and Ashraf were murdered recently by the assailants disguised as media persons. In view of that incident, it is necessary to impose this restriction in the interest of the safety of the prisoner.
The petitioner Ashfan has expressed the apprehension of the danger of her husband being killed during his appearance in the court outside the jail. Along with this, DSP Mohammadabad has told the court by giving an affidavit that the police and jail authorities are taking full precautions regarding the security of Mukhtar Ansari. He said that security measures have been taken inside and outside the jail. An inspector, 2 sub-inspectors, 2 head constables, 8 constables have been deployed for the security of Mafia Ansari. Along with this, 2 drivers have also been given. Mukhtar is accused of getting BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai publicly gunned down and killed. In this firing, 6 supporters of the MLA were also killed. About 70 bullets came out from the body of Krishnanand himself.
