New Delhi: The Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, which is mainly involved in the identification of the capital city, will now be renamed. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has decided to name the stadium after its former president and former finance minister of the country Arun Jaitley. Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium will now be known as former BJP leader Arun Jaitley.

The special thing is that this decision of DDCA reminds us of the symbolism and naming politics going on in the country and in the name of the persons associated with their party, airport, hospital, stadium, roads in the country when the party in power, Schools, and colleges are named. The country was ruled by the Congress for almost 55 years after independence. The BJP often accuses the Congress of naming many airports, hospitals and stadiums in the country after Nehru, Indira and Rajiv Gandhi.

On the other hand, in 2014, when the BJP came to power, the BJP also went on the same footsteps as the Congress. The Bharatiya Janata Party has also named several places in the name of leaders who have been the source of their ideological inspiration. Arun Jaitley has also found a place now.
