SYDNEY: The fact that the ICC T20 World Cup will be held in Australia, won't affect how the squad trains for the championship match, said by Australia's T20I skipper Aaron Finch.

The 35-year-old said T20 cricket is a "very difficult game" and that his team was just focusing on how to play it in the best possible manner without thinking too much about the pressure. The batsman recently resigned from ODI cricket primarily owing to poor form over the last year.

The external noise is that there is added pressure because you are at home and defending (the World Cup), Finch says. "We haven't brought up that (pressure) once, but the fact is that there is pressure every time you come into the centre for Australia. Finch went on to say, "We haven't concentrated on it at all; instead, we've been very clear about the type of game we want to play and how we want to approach it.

Although Finch's performance has been inconsistent, Australia enters the contest as the favourite. Several analysts have urged the selectors to consider other players, particularly youthful all-rounder Cameron Green.

Finch, however, said that he intends to give everything he has in his final international match as captain. In terms of planning and preparation, Finch said, "I've always given the next game or series 100% of my effort. I don't believe it's much sharper, but I'm a little bit more clear-minded I guess."
