Patna: Police have registered a case against JDU MLA Rinku Singh aka Dhirendra Pratap Singh in the murder of former District Council member Dayanand Verma of West Champaran. Dayanand Verma was shot dead by unknown criminals near Sirsia Chowk under Naurangia police station in West Champaran on Sunday, killing his life.

A criminal named Bablu Jaiswal, who was running away with this crime, was caught by the locals and beaten fiercely. In this entire case, a case has been registered against JDU MLA Rinku Singh and his other partner from Valmiki Nagar on the statement of Kumud Verma, wife of the deceased Dayanand Verma. According to the statement Kumud Verma has given to the police, there was a fight with her husband Dayanand Verma and a person named Shakeel Ahmed over any conversation, after which Shakeel had said to kill Dayanand Verma. After this, on Sunday evening Shakeel Ahmed along with JDU MLA Rinku Singh and 4 other colleagues reached Dayanand Verma's house and shot him dead.

After this incident, the family immediately admitted Dayanand Verma to the hospital where he was declared dead by doctors. SP Kiran Kumar Yadav said, "they are investigating this matter. He informed that legal action will be taken against all those found guilty in the case."
