Fierce fire breaks out in Delhi's Kirti Nagar, more than 50 slums burnt

New Delhi: A fierce fire erupted late Wednesday night in Timber Bazaar of Kirti Nagar area of Delhi, burning at least 50 huts. A Delhi Fire Service official has informed the media about this. No casualty has been reported in the incident.

On giving information, Director of Delhi Fire Service, Atul Garg has told that the information about the fire was received at 12.40 pm and 12 fire engines were dispatched immediately. He said that 50 huts were burnt down. Many LPG cylinders exploded due to the fire, so it took time to extinguish the fire. The reason for the fire has not been known yet. The officer said that the fire has been controlled, but the goods of the people living in the slums have suffered a great loss.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a shop located in Govindpuri area in South East Delhi. According to the Fire Service, the information about the fire was found at 4.30 am, after which fire engines were sent to the spot. There were no casualties due to the closure of the shop.
