Chandigarh: Stone pelting and firing were also done on police personnel who arrived in search of suspicious persons in Pipaltha village under Jind district in Haryana late on Monday night. The police also retaliated in self-defense. In this stone pelting, four police personnel suffered minor injuries and the glass of the vehicle of the Garhi police station in-charge was broken. On receiving the news of the attack, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Singh along with additional police force reached the spot and rescued the surrounded police personnel.

On the complaint of the injured ASI, the Garhi police station has registered a case against 30 others under various sections including murderous assault, snatching, Arms Act, sabotage, obstructing government work. Police is investigating the case. Garhi police station in-charge Dr. Sunil, along with the police team, had reached a township of village Pipaltha at night to find the suspects of the deadly attack on the Rohtak CIA staff policeman in Uchana.

Meanwhile, the people of Basti got into a scuffle with the police personnel and at the same time they also pelted stones on the police team, in which ASI Satpal, constable Ramesh Kumar, constable Vikas, home guard jawan Pradeep and Sandeep were injured.
