Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, miscreants opened fire on a retired policeman in Pratapgarh district. The retired policeman sustained bullet injuries. A case has been registered against 4 criminals on the basis of investigation report and Tahrir. Since then, two criminals are being detained and interrogated while the search is on for the other two.

The incident took place in Sangipur police station area of Pratapgarh. While in Purabdeum village, some people shot and injured retired police inspector Vinay Chandra Shukla on Thursday. Vinay is a voluntary retired from the post of Uttar Pradesh Police Inspector. He alleged that he was shot dead by four persons including Satyam Shukla of the village, injuring him. Based on the medical investigation report and the complaint of the retired Inspector of Police, a case has been registered against four criminals including Satyam. Police took immediate action and nabbed two accused in the case. They are currently being questioned.

On the other hand, two other accused involved in the shooting escaped. Police are conducting raids in search of them. Police say the two will be taken into custody soon. A case has been registered against the accused at present. According to reports, Vinay Chandra narrowly escaped the firing. He suffered a minor injury. It was only that he was not seriously injured. The district SP has made a statement about the incident.
