Lucknow:A case of Zika Virus infection has been registered a 57 year old-man was found infeted on october 22 in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh and the district has been rocked by the zika infection case. The Union Health Ministry has immediately sent a high level multi disciplinary team to Kanpur to prevent the infection from spreading to nearby areas. 

The central team that has been dispatched after the zika virus infection case came to light includes antomologists (anentomologist), public health experts, gynecologists (gynaecologist). The experts are from the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, the National Centre for Disease Control and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The team, sent by the Union Health Ministry, will work with the state health ministry to take steps to prevent zika virus infection.

The union health ministry team and state health department will prepare an action plan to prevent Zika infection by taking stock of the situation on the ground and help implement it. The team will also continue to give necessary guidelines to the health department to prevent zika virus.
