New Delhi: Storms in the Bay of Bengal are causing severe rainfall in many coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Since Thursday morning, Nellur, Chittoor, and Kadapa districts, witnesing heav rainfall and causing flooding in several low-lying regions. Rain is falling in several other districts as well. The effects of depression were particularly obvious in the areas of Chittoor, Kadpa, and Nellur. Many of these regions' low-lying areas have been flooded, and river drains are clogging everything.

On the other side, several roads have been flooded, and roadways have been blocked off in many regions owing to high water levels, causing significant delays in people's transportation. On the 18th and 19th, the Collector of Chittoor district has ordered that all educational institutions will be closed. It has been urged that residents of Tirupati stay at home. Officers have been instructed to maintain vigilance. The landing of planes in Tirupati is being hampered by heavy rains.

Tirupati city has gotten so much rain after so many years that it is possible to view a powerful flow of water from the Tirumala mountains, as if a cloud had burst. The mountains around the Kapil Tirtham shrine were dripping with rains. Huge volumes of flood water are approaching Tirupati city from a variety of sources. In several sections of Tirupati, water has invaded people's homes, and a heavy flow of water is seen.
