Lucknow: After remaining stable on Tuesday (October 18), the water level of Rapti and Kuano rivers in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district started rising again on Wednesday (October 19). However, the water level of Rohin-Saryu and Gorra is declining rapidly. With the water of the rivers decreasing, the number of Marund villages has also started decreasing. The district administration is assisting people in the flood-affected villages.

Let me tell you that the flood in Gorakhpur has not stopped yet. Saryu's water is receding very fast. The Gorra and Rohin rivers are also slowly descending now. At the same time, relief materials are being distributed by the District Disaster Management Authority and district administration in the flood-affected villages. While 8400 lunch packets were distributed in the affected villages, 2000 bottles of water were also distributed. As many as 28,190 food grains relief kits were distributed among the villagers, while 56,380 jerrycans were also distributed.

239 teams of the health department are working in the Gorakhpur district. Health teams have treated 13,355 people so far. At the same time, 78137 tablets of Cloni and 15335 packets of ORS were distributed among the people.
