Bangalore: In Karnataka, voting will take place at 6 PM on the motion of confidence in the Assembly. Karnataka Assembly Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar said that voting will be held on the trust vote at 6 pm on Tuesday. Earlier on Monday, congress-JD(S) MLAs stormed the House, while BJP leaders continued to demand floor test. On Monday afternoon, the Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh made an important statement. He said, the House will go to the polls on Monday itself. But the coalition leaders remained adamant about the discussion.

This led to several uproar and the House was adjourned late in the night. Congress leader and former CM Siddaramaiah said that he is ready for the test from 4 PM. Earlier, BJP leader in the Assembly BS Yeddyurappa said that the CM had promised that he would end it today and prove majority today. When the Congress-JDS was speaking, we did not protest. Siddaramaiah, CM and Chairman promised a floor test on Monday. When our Chief Whip was called, we said that we will be here till late night till all the debates are over. The Governor had written two letters to the Chief Minister and asked him to complete the division of the trust vote by Friday. He feared that the delay would lead to the possibility of the mlas' purchase and sale.

He also said that prima facie he had become clear that the Government had lost the confidence of the Assembly. Apart from the Speaker, the ruling coalition has 117 MLAs, including 78 from the Congress, 37 from the JD(S), one from the BSP and one from the BSP. With the support of two independents, the opposition BJP has 107 MLAs in the 225-member Assembly. If the resignation of 15 MLAs (12 from Congress and 3 of JD(S) is accepted or they abstain from division, the ruling coalition will have a number of 101 and the government will be reduced to a minority.
