Bengaluru: In Karnataka, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel has given such a statement, which can increase the controversy. BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the people of Karnataka should give priority to the issue of love jihad instead of roads, drains, and other minor issues in this year's assembly elections. Addressing party workers on the sidelines of the 'Booth Vijay Abhiyan' function in Mangaluru, Nalin Kumar Kateel asked them to focus on issues like 'love jihad' instead of talking about sewage and roads.

Speaking at the launch of the 'Booth Vijay Abhiyan' organized on Monday to prepare party workers in Mangaluru city constituencies for the upcoming elections, Kateel urged the Center to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI), according to media reports. He alleged that the murders of several Hindu activists were conspired by the PFI.

He asked the party workers not to talk about roads, gutters, drains and other minor issues. If the issue related to your children's life-love jihad is to be stopped, then we need BJP (to form the government). On Monday, the Karnataka Congress tweeted a video of Kateel's speech, writing, 'State's development, employment and education are minor issues! It is shameful that the BJP has asked its party workers not to talk about development, which it has done very little of. On Monday, Kateel while addressing BJP workers alleged that riots were going on in the state before PFI was banned. The BJP leader alleged that the PFI had planned a series of killings targeting Hindu activists. He said that if PFI had not been banned, today we would not have BJP leaders Monappa Bhandari, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, and Hari Krishna Bantwal (of Dakshina Kannada) here. There were only garlands in their pictures.
