Fodder scam case: JD (U) looks for a fair judgment

Patna (Bihar) [India], Dec 23 (NT): The Janata Dal (United) on Saturday is looking forward to a fair judgment by the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ranchi in links with the fodder scam case.

Rajeev Ranjan Singh, JD (U) leader and petitioner in a fodder scam case are hoping as saying

We are expecting a fair judgment today. The decision today will show that the justice can be deferred but cannot be shorn of says Rajeev Ranjan Singh

The CBI court will give its judgment today at 3 pm in the case in which ex Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad is a prime convict.

The convicted Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President arrived Ranchi along with his son Tejashwi Yadav to hear the judgment.

 

Meanwhile Addressing the media, Tejashwi  Yadav son of RJD president said the entire matter was a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) half-truths to pull the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Lalu down.

Tejashwi accused the BJP of practicing blood feud politics and making a fuss of in destroying the entire Govt...

A special CBI court in Ranchi will utter its judgment today in the fodder scam case.

There are 34 indicts in the case, out of which 11 passed away throughout the course of the trial, while one turned CBI approver and confessed the crime. A charge sheet was lodged in opposition to 38 persons on October 27, 1997.

All The accused are holding the charges under IPC sections 120B, 409, 418, 420, 467, 468, 471, 477 (A), 201 and 511 and under Prevention of Corruption Act section 13 (1) Dread with 13 (2).

Lalu Prasad and Jagannath Mishra have been found guilty in another fodder scam case and they are out on bail.
